Winter in Korea and Everland

As someone who hasn’t lived in a cold place before, I was really looking forward to winter in Korea. I’ve always preferred colder weather over warmer weather and even though I live in Hawaii, it can actually get pretty chilly where I live since I am from upcountry Maui.
It really started to get cold during the first week of December. One day the temperature just dropped to the 20s and stayed cold ever since. To prepare, I bought a couple of jackets and heattech from Uniqlo. I didn’t buy a thick padded jacket, so every time I go outside, I just layer a lot and I’ve been able to get by. It also snowed a couple times throughout the rest of the month. I went outside one morning and was shocked that everything was covered in white. Yonsei campus looked pretty in the snow, especially the buildings. There is also a lot of Christmas decorations around the city. The shopping malls in particular are decked out with lights and Christmas trees.
We also went to another Korean amusement park, Everland. This one isn’t located in Seoul, however, and we took a shuttle bus to get there (around a 1.5 hour drive). Since it was winter, a lot of the rides weren’t operating and so we mainly just walked around and took pictures. There were a lot of Christmas decorations around the park, especially snowmen. We were out the whole day and it was freezing.
