We took a day trip to Nijimori Studio, a former Japanese village film set that was turned into a park. It’s located in Dongducheon, north of Seoul, and took a little over two hours to get there. It’s based off of Edo Japan and the entrance was filled with buildings and restaurants. There was also a pond in the center of the park and a couple of bridges. It was nice and clear in the morning and we were able to take a lot of nice pictures. There were also some cars roaming around the area.

Even though it was November, it was actually pretty warm that day so we chose to rent seifuku (Japanese style school uniforms) (you could also rent kimono). We ate lunch at a Japanese restaurant and I got to eat sukiyaki again for the first time since I visited Japan (it was delicious!). There was also a stall selling Japanese festival foods like yakisoba and dango. I haven’t been to Japan since 2018, but this village definitely reminded me of the country!
