I went to Lotte World on Saturday, October 8th. It’s very popular to wear school uniforms to amusement parks in Korea, so the first thing we did was go to rent some nearby Lotte World. We went to Seoul Gyobok around 9:30, which was about a five minute walk from the park. This place was good because we didn’t have to make a reservation and it was close, however we did have to wait in line for a bit and the store was small and very crowded. There was a good selection of clothes to choose from and we got to pick a skirt, tie/bow, blazer, and white shirt. There was also a 1 + 1 special going on at the time, so we got the rental at a discount, around $14 per person. We also left one of our drivers license and some won as a deposit and had the whole day to wear the uniforms.

Afterwards we headed to Lotte World. We booked tickets ahead of time, which I highly recommend to do on Trazy/Klook as these sites give discounts for foreigners. After receiving a confirmation email, we got a QR code, which we showed to the counter to get our physical tickets. We also opted to get Magic Pass Premium (3), which basically allowed us to skip the line for 3 rides. This was great to have; as it was a Saturday, it was pretty packed the whole day.

Lotte World has two parts: Lotte World Adventure (the inside part of the park) and Magic Island (outdoors). The park reminded me of Disneyland (I just went there this summer) as there was a castle, lots of rides, and staff dressed as characters walking around. You could also see Lotte World Tower as it was located right next to the park. We stood in the standby lines for a couple of rides in the morning and opted to use the Magic Pass for Atlantis (an outdoor rollercoaster, the line was LONG), and for the French Revolution (another rollercoaster) and the Monorail inside. I also really enjoyed the Gyro Drop, which gave a nice view of the entire park before suddenly dropping you down. We also spent some time walking around the indoor portion of the park, which was covered by a huge dome at the top and a mini castle in the center. There was also an ice skating rink inside.

As it was Halloween season, there were many decorations around the park and staff dressed in costumes. We stayed the whole day and got to see the Halloween lights at night. There was also a parade inside after sunset and we got to watch it from the Monorail ride.
